Level 3 Painting & Decorating NVQ

The Level 3 NVQ is an advanced work-based qualification that assesses your ability to carry out complex painting and decorating tasks to a professional standard. It demonstrates that you can work independently, manage projects, and uphold high-quality finishes.

It’s aimed at experienced painters and decorators who want to advance their skills, move into supervisory roles, or formalise their expertise with a higher-level qualification.

You should already be working as a painter and decorator and have significant site experience.

You can begin your NVQ on any date that works best for you.

We’ll need at least a copy of photo ID to proceed.

Complete your NVQ through our user-friendly Online Portfolio System.

Your dedicated assessor will guide you through each stage:

• Knowledge Questions – You can either write your answers or discuss them with your assessor.

• Witness Testimony – We’ll provide a template to help you collect this easily.

• Site Documents – Upload any relevant documentation from your site.

• Photos & Videos – Share visual evidence of you completing tasks on-site.

• You can achieve this NVQ in as little as 4 weeks by collaborating closely with your assessor and submitting the required evidence.

• Once completed successfully, you’ll receive your NVQ diploma.

• Eligibility for the Gold CSCS Card
